Metallic Eye Shadow in Bash 5, last collection from Bobbi Brown. Fell in love with the color and it was out of stock had to wait for a few weeks before I finally acquired it. This color is suitable for day or night use, and its easy to match with. I had a short demonstration of the cleansing oil by the SA and was amazed by the result. It makes my skin soft and not oily after trying it. The SA told me it's due to the ingredient that they used, Olive and Jojoba Oils. It conditions the skin and leaves it feeling soft and supple. Besides that, another main ingredient which is Ginger Root Extract soothes and calms the skin. I shall be demonstrating a make over on the eye shadow soon.

Woke up at 7.30 and eagerly awaited for the time of shopping to arrive. It was the Loreal Warehouse Sales at Park Royal Hotel, Kuala Lumpur (opposite Sg. Wang) 10am- 7pm and words could not describe how excited I was as it was going to be my first experience.

I can't say that I was shocked to see tones of people waiting in line to head in. Fortunately I manage to get in at 9 and be the first crowd to ransack the place. Shu Eumura counter was pack with people and I was having a hard time to squeeze in and not to mention been step a few times while waiting for my turn to look at the products. Couldn't get any shu brushes *sigh* one of my main product that I wanted to buy. Maybe better luck next time.

All in all I had fun and I can't wait for the next one to come around again.

The texture is rich refreshing cream that protects skin from the damage of UVA/B rays. It doesn't feels heavy on my skin and gives and instant glow. This is a product formula for first signs of age rebuild to preserve youthfulness. It leaves my skin feeling soft and moist.

Chanel Precision Hydramax Active Moisture Boost Fluid.
I love everything about this moisturizer from it's light weight texture to the smell of white peaches, heightened by citrus fruits, over a delicate bouquet of jasmine, peony and cyclamen flowers. The HYDRABARRIER SYSTEM – an active ingredient develop by Chanel, strengthens the skin's barrier function. Moisturizing fluid for face, it hydrates and smoothens my skin makes it look supple. This can be use as day cream.
Chanel Precision Hydramax Active Moisture Gel Cream.
This is a gel cream base a little heavier than the fluid version. The smell and function are the same as Moisture Boost Fluid. Except it comes in a jar and a spatula. This can be use as night cream.

Shiseido Day Moisture Protection SPF 15.
I love the fact that this moisturizer contains SPF 15 an extra protection for me out in the sun. The texture is light weight and my skin absorb it instantly like a sponge. A very good base under foundation if you want a minimum coverage. This is definitely daytime moisturizer specially formulated to provide optimal hydration and balance in skin while protecting against UV rays and the damaging effects of other environmental factors.

Shiseido Night Moisture Recharge Light.
A multi-action nighttime revitalizer that counteracts signs of daytime damage and delivers intensive hydrating benefits to skin while you sleep. Restores softness, smoothness, and a healthy-looking glow. As much as I like the day cream, it seems different for the night cream. Though it's light weight texture but it doesn't sink into my skin and make it feels sticky and heavy. It sometimes make my skin feel itchy and uncomfortable.
Lancome Blanc Expert Ultimate Whitening Hydrating Cream.
The texture is gel base and whitens, hydrates & softens skin for a sublime look all day long. It contains vitamin C for pure white sensation and minimizes melanin production to prevent spots & dull skin tone. Provides optimal amount of amino acids & sugars for skin. Most of the whitening products leave the skin feeling dry but this moisturizer not only hydrates but softens my skin.

Lancome Primordiale Nuit Skin Recharge Visible Revitalising Renewing Night Moisturiser.
The texture is creamy and infused with a relaxing fragrance, intensely regenerate the skin overnight. My skin feels regenerated and look perfectly rested, hydrated, revitalised the next day. It does not feel too heavy and oily after applying onto my skin. It absorb instantly and my skin feels hydrated.
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion.
It's a light-weight, non-oily moisturizer, I use it once in a while on top of other moisturizer if I still feels my skin a little uncomfortable. This product doesn't really add: radiance, firmness, tightness, skin lightening. On the upside, it doesn't create blackheads, milia and it's fragrance free. It absorbs rapidly. Non-greasy. Inoffensive. It's perfect for rushed mornings when I don't have time for my daily moisturizers to absorb.

Sothys Noctuelle Time Interceptor Night Cream.
It containts 8% AHA complex, to brighten the complexion. This AHA complex provides hydration and mild micro-exfoliation to the skin's top layers. Also prevents and diminishes the first external signs of aging. The 8% concentration of lactic acid will help speed your skins natural exfoliation process while also having a moisturizing action. However it feels heavy and sticky on my skin, would recommend it for individuals with more mature skin.

Biotherm Aquasource Non-Stop.
I love the fresh-textured gel which is enriched with a patented hydrating complex to provide a reservoir effect on my skin. It is pure concentrate of mineral-rich Thermal Spring Water revitalizes skin and improves skin texture with the equivalent of 5,000 liters of enriched water in each jar. It contains Vitamins E and F to promote cell regeneration. My skin feels instantly refreshed and hydrated, supple and silky soft, perfectly revitalized throughout the day. I also love the smell of this moisturizer.

The FaceShop The Skin Nutritive Essential Moisturizer.
The texture is lightweight and sink straight to my skin without feeling heavy and sticky on the skin. This is a repairing aging-care line that offers 4 skin repairing effects with acti-firm complex, vitamin B3, and NAG(Normal Acetly Glucosamin). However I didn't see any results after using it for weeks.
Cellnique Oasis Soothing Gel.
The texture is soothing and calming, due to the highly concentrated, Aloe vera gel-based formulation designed for all skin types. This moisturizer is further enhanced with the infusion of witch hazel, horse chestnut, and marine collagen to deliver an ultra-effective moisturizing formula and contains no diazolidinyl urea. The only downside is there's no SPF for daytime use. Otherwise, this is one of the best moisturizer I've ever come across. The fine lines on my forehead fade away and my skin feels soft in just two weeks time.

Bobbi Brown Protective Face Lotion SPF 15.

I love this as it hydrates and prepares my skin for perfect makeup application while shielding against the sun's damaging rays with SPF 15. It contains antioxidant vitamin E to help fight skin-damaging free radicals, and chamomile to calm and soothe. It had become one of my favorite all time moisturizer for day time.
SkinFood Herb Salad Essence.
A mild essence with vegetable essential oil to nourish and moisturize those who have sensitive and tired skin. Contains natural scent and no artificial color. It sinks straight to my skin and for those of you with sensitive skin, I would recommend this to calm and sooth your complexion.
SkinFood Lettuce Cucumber Water Drop Essence.
A moisturizing essence containing lettuce and cucumber extracts rich in moisture, minerals, and vitamins. It hydrates skin with bursting water drops. It feels so refreshing and lightweight on my skin, it's not heavy at all. But I will only recommend this for younger skin.

Kiehl's Yerba Mate Tea Lotion.
This moisturizer is oil-free, suitable for all skin types, is formulated with an extract derived from Yerba Maté, an extraordinary South American herb. It helps infuse skin with all it needs to combat dullness and maintain its healthful and youthful vivacity. The texture is lightweight, helps to improve skin texture, clarity and radiance without clogging pores. However the downsides are the smell and there's no SPF for day time use. Can't really tolerate it at first but the funny smell eventually fades away once I applied it onto my skin. I love the effect as it makes my skin soft.

Cellnique Natural Hydrating Foundation (Super Soft Matt Finish)
I got this recently and it comes in only one shade. It sink to my skin as it feels like a tinted moisturizer. It gives a nice matt finish and stays on pretty well. I also really like the SPF 15 and the pump dispenser. Good for those who have dry skin like myself.

Chanel Double Perfection Fluide Matte Reflecting Makeup SPF 15
An amazingly silky smooth lightweight foundation. It blends over the skin well and does not feel heavy. The oil-free shine control makes this a perfect choice for oilier complexions. The matte finish feels light and coverage is good, and it will last all day and comes with SPF 15. Shade that I use 20 clair.

Chanel Vitalumiere Liquid Satin Smoothing Fluid Makeup SPF 15
I love the texture of this foundation, it glides smoothly and ends with a natural finishing. It instantly revives my tired and dull complexion. I love the fact that this foundation contains moisturizers. It also contain SPF 15 which gives you an extra protection. The bottle is design in a pump-action bottle, makes it easier to apply. One of my favourite all time foundation. Shade that I use 10 Limpide.

Chanel Professional Finish Makeup SPF 15
The day before my first shoot for Chanel advertisement, I dropped by over at Chanel counter and asked for the best foundation for photo shoot. A slight thicker but easy to blend and gives a flawless complexion in any light. It gives a full coverage that I barely need any concealer to conceal the imperfection. Chanel also claims that the foundation will “form a curtain veil of light on the skin”. It's formulated with highly concentrated in high-tech radiance-emitting active ingredients. Despite that it left my skin looking radiant and healthy without any kind of grease. This foundation comes with a darker shade than the normal Chanel foundation the shade that I use 10 Limpide as that's the lightest colour I can find.

Chanel Light Reflecting Whitening Compact Foundation SPF 25/PA+++
This foundation smoothes away imperfections and it's easy to apply. Formulated with the ESSENTIAL LIGHT DIFFUSING COMPLEX, and ideally unifies and illuminates the complexion. This foundation gave me a radiant and smooth finish however due to its powder form, it makes my skin feels tight and dry after applying it for few minutes. The shade that I use 10 Beige Clair.

Clinique Perfectly Real MakeUp
This foundation create a flawless and barely there finish. The texture feels very lightweight on the skin and not too heavy for those who wants a natural finish. It is also pretty hydrating and works beautifully on normal to dry skin. The coverage is on the sheer side but you can build it up. My skin just looks healthy and glowy when I wear this. Shade that I use #64

Clinique Soft Finish MakeUp
It's moisture-giving, line-softening makeup for dry skin with optical diffusers of lines and wrinkles. Imparts a soft natural finish. It blends like a butter and sinks right into my skin and I never look like I have makeup on at all. Highly recommend to those with dry skin. Shade that I use soft fair.

All-day moisturizing and an impeccable satin finish in one foundation. Its creamy texture leaves skin feeling comfortably smooth and looking radiant from morning to night. This is also one of my favourite foundation. Shade

Ever wished your skin was a little fairer? This does not just apply to Asian or Caucasians, but also women with naturally dark complexions, who simply want a 'paler' or 'untanned' version of their God-given skin tone.

Melanin productions is the skin's defence mechanism against harmful UV rays. It increases as exposure to sunlight increases. Even when mild, the sun contains damaging UV rays. Excessive sun exposure triggers melanin production and results in dark pigments known as age-spots, melasma or pregnancy mask.

Tips to maintain bright complexion:

Stay away from the sun. This cannot be stressed enough. Most of the normal darkening and discoloration of your skin is caused by the sun. Or at least use a high SPF sunblock with a minimum SPF of 30. So there I was at a friend's house chilling and flipping through channels on the screen when Queen Latifah came on. It instantly captured my attention and took my breath away. I was so engaged and taken in with her confident vibe when she appeared on MTV Music Awards 2008 and wowed the crowd!

I was astonished by the body posture and how she gracefully held her head up. Believe it or not, when we are confident from within it shows that we are in control of our lives. It affects our moods and every aspect of our lives. To me she's a very beautiful woman from inside out.

Now I'm not doing a promo on her or to increase an already infamous celebrity's popularity. What I'm trying to share is that, in the world where we are ruled by the perception that fashion models are beautiful, skinny thin is good, or hour glass curves are to die for....there are those who do not abide by the unwritten rules and continue to mesmerize us not only with her talent and inner beauty, but with her high levels of confidence.

Every woman comes in different sizes, and Queen Latifah is an exceptional individual who has an abundance of confidence and talent that will last a lifetime. She is the CEO of her 13 year old entertainment company Flavour Unit, a Grammy Award Winner, Cover Girl Spokeperson, Clothing Line Creator & Philanthropist.

Queen Latifah did an interview with Glamour Magazine

GLAMOUR: Did you face a lot of rejection? Were people telling you you can’t do that? Why are you singing? You’re a rapper. Why are you acting?

QL: Yeah, sure, of course.

GLAMOUR: And how did you deal with that?

QL: That is just what people go through. You have to—you know, sometimes you’ve got to swing people your way, and so you don’t get discouraged because somebody doesn’t get you, you just work harder to show them that, you know, you need to get it. And I never really based my life upon who doesn’t get it. I have support from the people around me and I know what I come with. I knew that I had these gifts, so I believe in myself and I just have to hope that eventually someone will understand me and jump on my side and help me get to where I’ve got to go. I mean, there were times when an album wasn’t successful, or I wasn’t in the right frame of mind. It doesn’t mean that I don’t have the same talent, you know, it just means it has to be channeled and focused in the right way. And so if anything I try to come back and just go back at it and focus and critique myself and not be afraid to hear constructive criticism, take what I feel is valid and throw out what I think is garbage and come back at it again. It’s like a constant process, my life. I’m constantly learning and I never feel like I know it all, and that’s my main thing. I just don’t—I feel so blessed by God to even be in this position, and so humble, because there’s so many people that helped me get here. Everything, whether it was a tough life lesson or breaking my heart, helped make me stronger; everything is a lesson and I was trying to take it that way. And laugh all the way through it.

GLAMOUR: Do you find that the music industry is more forgiving about looks and body than Hollywood is? Is Hollywood tougher for you or is it all the same?

QL: It’s all the same to me. If anything, girls are showing much more flesh on these videos and the guys are showing more body, these six-packs and little abs, their little chests and stuff. You still can be who you are and succeed in both genres, but the pressure is there and there are plenty of people that will keep feeding that little never-full giant called vanity, and that will keep perpetuating some of these image issues.

GLAMOUR: Does it ever get to you? Because you seem like it rolls right off you.

QL: No, not anymore. I mean, as a kid starting out, I definitely thought about it. I thought, I should probably get in shape and train. But that’s not what I’m about. Like I’m not rapping about sexing somebody out, do you know what I mean? And I don’t have a problem in the love department, I never did, so it wasn’t like I felt some need to become this sexpot in order to feed that ego or something. I was always cool myself, and so I never really fed into that. The only time I really got that kind of pressure was when I was doing Living Single. They said, ‘The girls need to lose weight.” I would laugh at it really, and I would refuse to do it anyway. I mean, if I wanted to lose weight, I would lose it for myself. I never lost weight because somebody told me I needed to lose weight. There’s too many people in their dressing rooms and in their offices, people with gorgeous bodies and no freaking self-confidence. They shoot everybody down. They talk about themselves way too much. They are way too self-absorbed, and “Do I look fat?” That’s annoying. When will they get it, finally get it that, that stuff is annoying, that a guy to me prefers a woman with confidence, that confidence is sexy? I don’t care what size you are. I know who looks good and who doesn’t, you know, but if they look good, hey, they look good. And if they don’t have a banging body and their confidence is just so up, they seem much more attractive and more sexy, because of the confidence. Confidence is sexiness to me. I realized a long time ago that something that I definitely did not want to be measured by was my waistline.
It’s the same in relationships. You know what? If there’s a dude sitting around telling you that you’re too fat, leave his ass. We’ve got to change their opinions too, and we keep feeding guys all of this stuff, that everything is about our bodies, and that’s what it’s really about. I’m not saying that, in a couple, in a relationship that you shouldn’t be loving and sexy to that individual. I’m not saying let yourself go or don’t be healthy. Be healthy, but don’t be hung up on somebody else’s words, like you shouldn’t live and die by what a guy thinks of you. You know, we’ve got to be the shit to ourselves, excuse my language, but we have got to be the bomb to ourselves first.

GLAMOUR: You must get a lot of people, fans that come up and say that you’vemade a big difference for them, because you really sort of did it your way, your own thing.

QL: I actually had a guy tell me yesterday, “You know what? You really, really inspire a lot of young women.” And for a guy to come up to you and say that, it just shows that it doesn’t just affect women. It affects the fathers and the brothers that are around these women, and care about them and want them to have self-esteem and confidence in the right things. Just me being, you know, my size and being on TV or being in a movie and succeeding is like, hey, if she can do it, I can do it. I can feel good about myself, because she feels good about herself. Sometimes you need that. I needed it growing up. I didn’t get it too often, because there weren’t a lot of people who looked like me, but luckily my mom and other friends, people along the way gave me that encouragement. But you know, girls really need that because the images that they have to fight with are even worse than what I had to fight with growing up. Everybody is necking on TV and their stomachs are flat, and if you don’t come with that natural genetic tendency, then you’ve got to work for it, and you might not get educated on how to eat properly, or maybe your family can’t afford it or don’t even really know how to feed you in a healthy way. People don’t really consider that when they are putting all of these images out there. Everybody can’t afford to shop at Whole Foods.

GLAMOUR: Who has been your most surprising fan?

QL: Well, the other day I met Senator Orrin Hatch—at the VIP room at the Grammys. He wanted to jam with me. I was surprised that Orrin Hatch was up for me. Apparently he writes songs himself.

GLAMOUR: What advice would you give to somebody about going after their dreams, when they’re looking up and the odds seem really against them?

QL: Well, the odds are always going to be against you, so you might as well suck it up and go for it. And then if you don’t believe in yourself, nobody else is, so you have to buy your own story first, even if you don’t buy it, you better learn. Like my father says—he’s a cop—if you ain’t got a gun, act like you got one.

GLAMOUR: Who is the first person you call when something good or bad happens to you?

QL: My mother.

GLAMOUR: What’s the best thing about being a celebrity?

QL: Free stuff. Free goods. The hook up is the best thing.

GLAMOUR: And free tickets too?

QL: Unless you’re dealing with California Highway Patrol.

After going through this interview, I realised this. "Never ever put yourselves down because you can't be who you want to be. Be happy with who you are and what you have."

Are you sick and tired of all those skin care products that don't do what they claim to do? Ever feel disappointed when you put high hopes on it? AND what's worst is, you pay a boom and burn a hole in your pocket.

As a smart consumer one must always be wise and always be on the look out for what you purchase. By doing so, you would be able to achieve the phrase "Every penny saved, is a penny spent wisely."

Now I'm not asking you to doubt every possible product that is marketed out there, but you do need to approach each and everyone of them with caution. I'm sure you would agree that there are companies out there which focuses more on the marketing and promotions rather than put that lump sum into Research and Development. Having said that, there are some products that are of course authentically made to help your skin look smoother, youthful, more radiant, reduce eye bags and fine lines.

So how do we avoid being a victim of over priced products that do nothing but make our skin worst? The answer is quite simple really...... by remembering this principle, "Most people would pay anything and simply would not take the time to research these products and understand the ingredients and its effect on your skin."
